Lucknow News: Special trains delayed for hours, devotees troubled

Raebareli. In view of the crowd of devotees during Maha Kumbh, the railways have run many special trains. The delay in these trains made the devotees wait for a long time. On Sunday, long distance special trains arrived with a delay of eight to nine hours. All the seats in these trains were full. There was no space even in the gallery.

Several Maha Kumbh special trains passed on Sunday from morning to evening. The special train from New Delhi to Phaphamau was delayed by 9 hours and a quarter, the special train from Phaphamau to Bhatinda was delayed by 5 hours, the special train from Firozpur to Phaphamau was delayed by 4 and a half hours, the special train from Anand Vihar to Phaphamau was delayed by 8 hours, the special train from New Delhi to Phaphamau was delayed by 8 hours, the special train from Phaphamau to Delhi was delayed by 1.5 hours, the special train from Prayagraj to Lucknow’s Alamnagar was delayed by 2 and a quarter hours and the special train from New Delhi to Phaphamau was delayed by 7 and a quarter hours.

Station Superintendent Ravi Ranjan said that the crowd of devotees started increasing from Saturday night, but devotees kept leaving by special trains and regular trains. Due to this, the devotees did not have to wait much. Due to security arrangements, there was no chaos.

Passenger’s condition deteriorated in special train
Raebareli. The condition of a passenger deteriorated in the Mahakumbh Special train going from New Delhi to Phaphamau. This train arrived on Sunday afternoon. On receiving information about the passenger’s ill health, a team from the Railway Hospital reached there. As soon as the train stopped, the passenger’s health was examined and medicines were given. Meanwhile the train stood still for about half an hour. Station superintendent Ravi Ranjan told that Ashok Kumar (48), traveling in the special train, suffered an epileptic attack. When the passenger refused to go to the hospital, he was treated in the train itself. The train left after his condition improved.
