Sitapur. Due to change in gender of UP Board candidates, there is a problem in the allocation of centers for boys and girls. Due to this, girls have been allotted remote centers and boys have been allotted their own centers. However, alternative arrangements have been made so that the candidates do not face any problem. The Board Secretary has given instructions to make the girls appear for the examination at their own centers.
Due to change in gender of all the students appearing in the board examination, the girl students have been allotted centres in some other college instead of their own centres. Whereas the boys have been allotted their own centres. Taking cognizance of this mistake, the Secretary of the Secondary Education Council has sent a letter to all the District School Inspectors to rectify the mistake and has directed them to conduct the examination through alternative arrangements.
has been said by the Secretary in the letter that arrangement should be made to make girls take examination at their own centres. If other fellow girls have been allotted other nearby colleges then their examination should be conducted there. Its radius should be up to seven kilometres. On the other hand, those students who have been allotted own centre due to wrong gender marking by mistake, they should be given examination at the centres allotted to their fellow students. DIOS Dr. Rajendra Singh said that all the cases which came to my notice have been resolved and now no candidate will face any problem.
Due to wrong centre allocation, board exam candidates may face problems on the first day on Monday. Parents say that students who are not aware of this have already reached the respective centres or are preparing to reach there, they will be in a state of confusion in the first paper. On the other hand, students who know about giving exam at their own centre will be upset at the time of paper on getting the information that they have been sent to a far-off centre.
