Chaklavanshi. Bike rider Munni Lal (58) died after being hit by a speeding car, his companion Anil (40) was injured. After the incident, the driver fled with the car.
Munni Lal, a resident of Barmhola in Maakhi police station area, along with Anil of the village were going on Wednesday morning at 10 am on their bike to talk to the tractor owner for harvesting the wheat crop lying in the fields. Both were injured after being hit by a car near the petrol pump in Barmhola village of Maakhi police station area on Bithoor-Sandila road. The family first took both of them to the district hospital and from there to Kanpur Hallett. Munni Lal died during treatment. Anil is undergoing treatment. Elder brother Gajraj said that Munni Lal was not married. He was the youngest of three brothers. Maakhi police station in-charge Sandeep Mishra said that the death occurred in Kanpur. Action will be taken on the basis of the complaint.
