Sitapur. A laborer died on Wednesday after falling from a building under construction in the 2nd Battalion PAC located in the city police station. The body was sent for post-mortem.
According to the information received from the Camp Commander Office of the 2nd Battalion PAC, a building named G11 is being constructed in the campus. Barracks are being built in it. This 12-storey building is being constructed by PWD CD-1.
On Wednesday afternoon around 12 o’clock, Ankit (19), a resident of Barosa village of Hargaon police station, went alone to the 11th floor of the building to prepare for opening the shuttering. Suddenly, under suspicious circumstances, he fell down. Local people took him to the district hospital with the help of laborers where doctors declared him dead.
It is being told that for safety standards, a net was installed on the 11th floor but the net also broke while falling. Father Suresh told that preparations were going on to open the shuttering. During this time the accident happened. Till now no responsible person has come to meet them. Commandant of the battalion Santosh Kumar Meena told that information has been received. The work was being done by the implementing agency PWD, further action will be taken after the post-mortem.
