Sitapur News: Bike riding miscreants looted 68 thousand rupees

Sitapur. In front of the tehsil gate in Mahmudabad town, miscreants on bikes committed a robbery on Wednesday. A young woman who was going home after taking money from the bank stopped in front of the tehsildar’s residence to eat batasha. She had kept a bag full of cash worth 68 thousand rupees on the bicycle carrier. The police is investigating the case.

According to Pooja Devi, a resident of Baghain village in the area, on Wednesday morning she went to the State Bank with her maternal grandfather Darshan Lal to withdraw money from his account. She withdrew Rs 50,000 from her grandfather’s account and kept the Rs 18,000 she already had with her in her bag. After this, she put the bag in the carrier of the bicycle.

Coming out from there, Pooja stopped at a cart in front of the Tehsildar’s residence at around 12:30 in the afternoon to eat batasha. She parked her bicycle on the roadside and started eating batasha. Meanwhile, the miscreants on the bike took out the bag from the bicycle carrier and ran away.

Seeing the bag being taken away, Pooja started screaming and shouting. While chasing the miscreants, she even fell down but by then the miscreants had fled from Chikmandi crossing. Everyone was stunned by the robbery incident that took place in broad daylight in front of the Tehsil premises and the Tehsildar residence. Inspector Anil Singh came to the spot and recorded the statement of the victim. He said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint.
