Manpur (Sitapur). On Wednesday, during a dispute in Ghazipur Majra Hathiya village of the area, some people pushed an old man. The old man suffered a head injury after falling on the pavement. He died on the spot.
Ruby, a resident of Ghazipur Majra Hathiya village of the area, was married to Vivek, a resident of Maholi police station area. According to the family members, Vivek died two years after the marriage. Their daughter Kavya is about two and a half years old. According to the family members, on Wednesday afternoon around three, Ruby’s father-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin-in-law and other people from the village came to Ghazipur village in a car to pick up Kavya.
Ruby says that her second marriage is scheduled for April 1st, due to which her parents were not sending Kavya, while her in-laws were adamant on taking Kavya by force. Meanwhile, Ruby’s grandfather Sukhu (80) tried to intervene.
During that time, Baba Sukhu fell on the pavement due to a push. He died on the spot. SHO Mukesh Verma said that the body has been sent for postmortem. Further action will be taken on the basis of the complaint.
