Sitapur. Voice sample of rape accused MP Rakesh Rathore, lodged in the district jail, was taken at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Lucknow on Tuesday. At around 8:30 in the morning, he was taken from the jail to the laboratory amid tight security.
There he repeated some words from the viral audio recording. Police teams from the city police station, police lines and the crime branch also accompanied him for security reasons. It took about 40 minutes to take a sample of the MP’s voice in the forensic science laboratory.
After this, the team returned to the district jail with the MP at around quarter to one. The MP was admitted to the jail as per rules. According to the police, along with the investigating officer Anoop Shukla, nine constables and 15 other policemen had gone along for security arrangements.
Sitapur. On February 14 a case was registered in the city police station against MP Rakesh Rathore and a woman for threatening the rape victim. The victim’s husband had given a complaint in this regard on February 10. In this case the MP’s bail plea was filed in the court of CJM Gaurav Prakash on February 24. The court heard it. The decision was reserved after hearing both the sides. After this CJM Gaurav Prakash accepted the MP’s bail plea and got two bonds of Rs. 25,000 each filed.┬а
