Urdauli (Sitapur). Under the plantation campaign, various species of plants were planted on a large scale in private and government land in July. Due to lack of maintenance, animals ate the plants planted along the main road and highway. Some plants dried up.

Only the plants planted in rural areas have survived. About four thousand eight hundred plants of Sheesham, Teak and Kanji were planted on about three hectares of Gram Panchayat land in Bachwal village.

Forest Officer Kalpeshwar Nath said that the plants planted under the plantation campaign are safe. Some plants were destroyed by animals. These are being replanted. Wherever the plants have been damaged or dried up, they will be replaced soon.
