Gola Gokarnath. A cylinder exploded while refilling gas in a Maruti van in Keshavapur on the National Highway. Five shops including the van were burnt down due to this. When the cylinders kept in the shops started exploding one after the other, there was panic among the people.
On Thursday evening, gas was being filled from an LPG cylinder into a Maruti van at Imran’s shoe shop in Keshavapur. During this time, the gas cylinder suddenly caught fire and exploded with a loud bang. The fire spread rapidly and many cylinders kept in the shop started exploding one by one.
Manoj Maurya’s snack shop, Jaskaran Lal Tailor’s shop, Pawan Verma’s grocery shop, Jeevan Lal Verma’s paan shop also caught fire. Lakhs of rupees were lost in this fire incident. On receiving the information, fire brigade personnel under the leadership of Gola Fire Station Incharge Surendra Singh Shinde worked hard and controlled the fire.
