Raebareli. Near the district jail police post, assailants riding a four-wheeler beat a teenager to death with an iron rod and hockey stick. It is being said that the teenager was attacked due to a rivalry. In this incident that happened on Monday, the police have registered a case of murderous attack against 17 attackers.
A 17-year-old boy, a resident of Malikmau Colony of Mill Area Police Station area, had gone to meet his friend Anuj Yadav who was lodged in the district jail. After the meeting, as soon as the boy came out and reached the jail police post at 2:30 in the afternoon, a four-wheeler and bike riders arrived.
Before the teenager could understand anything, the attackers attacked him with iron rods and hockey sticks. The teenager suffered serious injuries in the fight. The attack on the teenager near the jail post created a stir. When the people nearby informed the police, the attackers fled.
There are cases of assault registered against the injured.
CO Sadar Amit Singh said that about six cases of assault are registered against the injured in Sadar Kotwali and Mill Area police station. The teenager was attacked due to personal enmity. Meanwhile, Mill Area police station in-charge Rajiv Singh said that the injured is a minor. Due to this, action including Goonda Act cannot be taken against him.
Anuj Yadav is lodged in the district jail in a gang rape case. The teenager had gone to meet the same Anuj Yadav. All of them have a gang, which carries out such assaults every day.
