Lalganj (Raebareli). Two bikes collided while trying to overtake near the Balhemau canal culvert on Raebareli Road on Monday evening at around 4 pm. In the accident, Rajmohan, a rider on one bike, died, while Gaurav Yadav and Prince Yadav, riding on the other bike, were seriously injured. The injured were rushed to the district hospital.
Rajmohan Yadav (30) Bodhilal, a resident of Barin ka Purwa village in the Sareni police station area, was going towards Raebareli on Monday evening. Gaurav Yadav (26) son of Ramesh Yadav, a resident of Chandai ka Purwa village in the Gurubakshganj police station area, riding on another bike, was coming towards Lalganj with his friend Prince Yadav (22) son of Braj Kumar Yadav, a resident of Pure Jawahar Majra Madhukarpur. On the way, while overtaking a vehicle near Balhemau village, both bikes collided head-on.
Passersby took the injured to the district hospital, where doctors declared Rajmohan dead after examination. Eyewitnesses said that bike rider Rajmohan Yadav was wearing a helmet. Whereas the two youths riding the other bike were not wearing helmets. Rajmohan was unmarried and worked in Saudi Arabia. He had come home a week ago. Rajmohan’s elder brothers Rajkumar and Shivkumar and younger brothers Shivmohan and Umesh are inconsolable after the accident.
