The district remains on the first position in getting farmer registration done. More than four lakh farmers have got their farmer registration done. Looking at the number of farmers, the government has extended the deadline for getting farmer registration done to 28 February. So that 100% farmers can get their farmer registration done.
The Government of India has made arrangements for getting farmer registration done of farmers. Tehsil wise targets have also been given to get all the farmers’ farmer registration done on time in the district. So far 4,04,106 farmers have got their farmer registration done in the district. In which farmer registration of 1,04,816 farmers has been done in Tehsil Sandila, 1,04,707 in Sadar, 71,782 in Shahabad, 66,456 in Bilgram and 56,345 farmers in Sawaijpur. Deputy Director Agriculture, Dr. Nand Kishore said that farmers can also do farmer registration through self mode, but to avoid any kind of error, employees of Revenue, Agriculture and Panchayati Raj departments have been deployed on duty.
It was told that due to the presence of a Lekhpal, farmers do not face any problems in finding their total data and their data number. Along with motivating farmers for Farmer Registry, its benefits are also being told to them.
