Imalia Sultanpur (Sitapur). Late on Tuesday night, thieves raided nine houses in the town and stole goods worth about ten lakhs. Police have started investigating the case.
Thieves broke into the house of advocate Vinod Mishra on Gola road in the town and took out the bulb in the courtyard. After this, they opened the door of the room and stole cash worth about 20 thousand rupees kept in the purse and pants. After this, they went to Purva and stole cash worth about one and a half lakh rupees and goods worth about ten lakh rupees including gold and silver jewellery from the houses of Bhallar, Salim, Ziauddin, Chhote, Sherji, Abdul Wahid, Molhe and Narpati. The victims came to know about the incident on Wednesday morning. There is anger among the villagers due to the incident. Police station in-charge Shailendra Srivastava said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint. The thefts will be revealed soon.
Theft happened two days ago:
Last Sunday, theft took place in Gopalnagar Mohalla of Biswan. Anuj Shrivastav, a resident of this place, had gone to attend a marriage function in Laharpur with his family. The thieves broke the lock of the house during the day and stole cash worth 40 thousand rupees and jewellery worth about two lakh rupees. This case has not been solved yet.

Imalia Sultanpur police station is about one kilometer away from the crime scene. There is a development block office, hospital, bank and business establishments in the village. That is why a police picket is also established there. A constable and two home guards are deployed in the picket. Police claim that the picket and police vehicle patrol throughout the night. However, the fearless thieves who targeted nine houses have proved the police claim hollow.
