Khairabad (Sitapur). On Thursday, an unknown vehicle hit a retired soldier riding a bike near Samdepara on the highway. He died in the accident.
Kailash Nath Tripathi (45), a resident of Rasulpur, was a retired army man. He was going to Sitapur headquarters on a bike with his son Alok Tripathi. Near Samdepara, an unknown vehicle hit the bike from behind.
Local people admitted him to the district hospital. Seeing his critical condition, the doctors referred him to Lucknow, where he died during treatment. His son is undergoing treatment. SHO Anil Singh said that the vehicle is being traced.
