Unnao. Government has given approval for six major connecting roads which have been in bad condition for a long time. With the construction of these roads, a population of about one lakh will get relief from bumpy travel.
There are many connecting roads connecting two areas in the district which have been in a dilapidated condition for a long time. People are facing difficulties in commuting on these. Many roads are completely covered with potholes. Vehicle riders are falling and getting injured. Last year in January-2024, PWD had conducted a survey and marked 413 routes. A proposal to repair these roads was made and sent to the headquarters. Now the government has approved a budget of about Rs 4.09 crore for the construction of six routes of 6.55 km length. PWD Provincial Section Executive Engineer Hardayal Ahirwar said that the tender process will be started soon.
These major roads will be repaired
1- Panditkheda to Ant link road – cost 62.02 lakhs
2- Hussainpur Jamuka Padri to Purviankheda road – cost 56.28 lakhs
3- Julabkheda to Tamoria Khurd link road – cost 82.03 lakhs
4- Road construction from Panhan to Purandarpur – cost 66.61 lakhs
5- Premkheda to Sudarshankheda link road – cost 77.30 lakhs
6- Link road from Bijimau to Sarifabad culvert- cost 65.01 lakh
