Unnao. In the Legislative Council, Graduate MLA Arun Pathak has raised the issue of illegal cuts on Lucknow-Kanpur Highway and other routes and the accidents caused by them.
He asked the Transport Minister in the House whether the DMs of all the districts of the state were instructed to close the illegal cuts on the highways and expressways. He told that the legal cut from Azad Marg to Marhala crossing on the Unnao-Kanpur highway is closed. But there are many illegal cuts at a short distance from it. Similarly, illegal cuts on many other highways have not been closed yet. He said that public representatives are not called in the meeting of the District School Safety Committee. On this, the Legislative Council Chairman said that if the District Officer does not call the public representatives in the meeting, then action will be taken action.
