Sitapur News: Six accused of robbery arrested, e-rickshaw recovered

Sitapur. Imalia Sultanpur police on Tuesday disclosed the robbery incident and arrested six accused. The accused had looted the e-rickshaw and thrown the driver hostage. SHO Shailendra Srivastava said that on February 8, some people had booked an e-rickshaw driver from Farakpur crossroads. They reached ahead of Nawada village in an e-rickshaw and after tying the hands and legs of the driver and throwing him in the sugarcane field, looted the e-rickshaw and fled. A case was registered in the matter and the accused were being searched. On Tuesday, the police arrested Arpit, resident of village Chathiya in Maholi, Bhograj alias Bhognath, resident of Chaturaiya village, Shivcharan Trivedi, Mahendra Kumar Ojha, Nitin Verma, resident of village Birahimbad in Kotwali Dehat, Umesh of village Mallapur in Hargaon. On the identification of the accused, the looted e-rickshaw, the car used in the incident along with a pistol have been recovered from Mahendra and Shivcharan Trivedi. The accused told that they had carried out the incident. All of them had made this plan together. No criminal history has been found against anyone. Sections of the Arms Act have been added to the case and the accused have been sent to jail.
