Sitapur News: Fresh footprints of tiger found, cage will be installed

Machrehta (Sitapur). Panic increased after fresh footprints of tiger were found in the fields near Bijuamau Garhi on Wednesday. The forest department team combed for about two hours but could not find any trace of the tiger. After finding the footprints, it became clear that the tiger is present in the area. The forest department has ordered a cage to catch the tiger. Forest department officials have advised the villagers to remain alert.

There has been a fear of tiger in many villages situated in the Sarayan river basin including Bijuwamau Garhi of Mishrikh range for a long time. Villagers have claimed to have seen tiger many times. Footprints were also found. On Monday night, villagers who were irrigating the fields had claimed to have seen tiger.

On Wednesday morning, fresh footprints of a tiger were found in Deepak Singh’s field. According to the forest department, the footprints belong to a tiger. Forest inspector Akshay Kumar Pandey and forest guard Brijendra Yadav reached there with their team and combed the area. Even after combing for about two hours, no trace of the tiger was found.

The forest department has ordered a cage to catch the tiger. The cage reached Bijuwamau Garhi on Wednesday evening. Misrikh Forest Officer Sikandar Singh said that a cage will be installed to catch the tiger. Villagers have been advised to remain alert.
