Naimisharanya (Sitapur). The 84 Kosi Parikrama will be divine and grand this time. Since the Parikrama is happening immediately after the Maha Kumbh, a large number of saints and sages are expected to attend it. The administration has started preparations for the Parikrama starting from March 1.

It is believed that in the Satyuga, Maharishi Dadhichi had performed the 84 Kosi Parikrama for the first time. Before donating the ashes, Maharishi Dadhichi had expressed his wish to have darshan of the gods and goddesses by taking a bath in the water of all the pilgrimages. On this, all the gods and goddesses reached Naimisharanya. Maharishi Dadhichi performed parikrama of all the gods and goddesses. Today it is known as 84 Kosi Parikrama. Every year, 84 Kosi Parikrama is performed in the month of Falgun.

This Parikrama, which starts from Naimisharanya and ends in Misrikh, has 11 stages. This year the Parikrama will begin from March 1. Maha Kumbh is currently going on in Prayagraj. Saints and mahants have gathered in Maha Kumbh. It is believed that since the 84 Kosi Parikrama is taking place immediately after Maha Kumbh, a large number of saints and mahants may participate here this time too.

Apart from this, a large number of devotees from Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and the neighbouring country Nepal come for the Parikrama. Keeping in view the importance of the Parikrama, SDM Misrikh Pankaj Saxena has started preparations. Repairs of the Parikrama routes have been started. After inspecting the halting places, the SDM has given instructions to complete the cleaning work on time.
