The mosque being built illegally on government land in Sampurnanagar of Lakhimpur Kheri has been demolished by the tehsil administration and police team with the help of a bulldozer under the leadership of ADM. The demolition action was taken on Sunday. The debris has been completely removed from there.
In 2023, the committee was getting a mosque built illegally on government land in Krishnanagar, adjacent to the Nepal border in Sampurnanagar police station area. A villager had complained about this. According to the officials, the mosque was being built illegally on government land. Earlier, the work of building the mosque had started in 2023. At that time, the officials of the tehsil administration, who arrived on the complaint, had stopped the mosque, but after that the construction of the mosque started again by the committee.
