Sitapur. Protests were held at many places in the district on Thursday against the terrorist incident in Pahalgam. The officials of Bar Association Sitapur observed two minutes silence on Thursday for the peace of the souls of the tourists killed in the Pahalgam violence.
The officials passed a resolution to submit a memorandum to the President for strict action. A five-point memorandum was submitted to the district administration under the leadership of association president Vijay Kumar Awasthi. There, a demand was made to give death penalty to the terrorists. A candle march was taken out under the leadership of Jai Narayan Hindu in Kankari village of Reusa. Anti-Pakistan slogans were raised. Abhishek, Rishi, Ashutosh, Ramdhar and others participated in this march.
Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad burnt the effigy of terrorism at Kamal Tiraha in Sidhauli. Taking the effigy from the martyr’s memorial, the activists raised slogans of Down with Pakistan and Down with Terrorism. Bajrang Dal city coordinator Atul Tiwari said that bricks will be answered with stones. Pranshu Shukla, Dharm Prakash Gupta, Amit Mishra, Vishal Yadav, Samar Pratap Singh, Jitendra Shukla etc. were present on this occasion.
