Behta Mujawar. There was an uproar when the body of engineer Manoj Dwivedi, who died after being buried under a tunnel under construction in Telangana, reached the village on the 32nd day of his death. The family members cremated the body at Nanamau Ghat.
Engineer Manoj Dwivedi, a resident of Matukari village in Bangarmau, was trapped in the SLBC tunnel being constructed in Nagar Kurnool, Telangana, when a part of the tunnel collapsed on February 22. His body was found 32 days after the incident. The body was first brought to his Aashiyana residence in Lucknow at 9 am on Thursday.
After waiting there for some time, the family reached their ancestral village with the body at 1 pm. Seeing the body of their son, the old mother Jamuna Devi clung to her grandson Adarsh Kumar and started crying. Wife Swarnlata was also sitting with her lost son Adarsh and daughter Ananya. Sisters Usha Devi, Annapurna and Sunita Kumari are inconsolable due to the death of their brother. The funeral procession was taken out after 2 pm.
Telangana government gives 25 lakh assistance to engineer’s wife,Behatamuzhavar. After the death of the engineer, Telangana government has sent a cheque of 25 lakhs to his wife Swarnalatha. The company through which he was working will also give compensation soon. The engineer’s mother Jamunadevi is a retired teacher and wife Swarnalatha is a teacher. Brother Arvind, wife Sandhya, married sisters Usha Devi and Annapurna are also teachers. One sister Sunita Kumari is a village panchayat member. Son Aadarsh has given his intermediate examination and daughter Ananya has given her high school examination.
