Sitapur. The joy of Holi is visible everywhere. Various types of dishes are being prepared in homes to welcome the guests. The markets are also bustling with customers. There is a huge crowd at the Kachri-Papad and Namkeen, biscuit shops. Many varieties of Kachri-Papad and Namkeen are available in the shops. People are shopping as per their choice.

Holi, the festival of colours, is on March 14. The fervour of Holi has spread in the market. There is a hustle and bustle in the market from morning to late evening. Crowds of buyers are flocking to the shops. There is a tradition of visiting each other’s houses and congratulating each other after playing with colours in Holi.

Guests are welcomed with many types of dishes. People have started preparations for this. Not only are chips, papad and Kachri being made at homes, but their purchase has also increased in the market. Shops of chips, papad, Kachri and Namkeen have been decorated at many places in the city including Lalbagh Market, Eye Hospital Road, Post Office Road, Chungi Square. Many types of Namkeen, chips, papad etc. are available at the shops.

Crowds of customers can be seen at the shops. Some are liking homemade food, while others are liking packaged chips, papad and Kachri. Many varieties of namkeen are also available in the market. People are shopping as per their choice. The purchase of snacks etc. has also increased at crockery shops. Apart from this, flour, spices, dry fruits etc. are being sold in large quantities at grocery shops for making dishes at home.

Kachri and Papad seller Sanjay says that many kinds of products are available in the market. Customers are shopping as per their choice. Homemade chips and papad are being sold at Rs. 200 per kg. Kachri is available at Rs. 320 per kg. Chips in a 100 gram packet are being sold for Rs. 50 while a big packet of moong is being sold for Rs. 200. People are also liking Rice Kachri and Banana Chips a lot. Rice Kachri is available at Rs. 200 per kg and a 100 gram packet of banana chips is available at Rs. 50. Products with many kinds of flavors are also available in the market.

Namkeen seller Vinay told that makhana, peanuts and cashew mixed namkeen is available in the market. Papdi and garlic namkeen are also being liked a lot. Along with this there is a lot of demand for gram flour namkeen. People are also liking sweet namkeen and Punjabi tadka. There are many namkeen and biscuit shops in the market. Namkeen from Rs.150 to Rs.800 per kg is available here. Many types of biscuits are also available from Rs.40 to Rs.150 per packet.
