Sitapur. To pay off his friend’s debt, the youth had fabricated a story of robbery. Sakran police on Tuesday solved the case and sent the accused to jail.
ASP North Prakash Kumar said that Samir, a resident of Purkaji Mohalla Jatan police station in Muzaffarnagar district, had filed a case.
According to him, on February 3, he was returning from Biswan with one lakh rupees as payment for the jaggery he had sold. On the way, three masked miscreants pushed his bike and made him fall in the field. After this, the miscreants ran away with his money and phone. The police registered a case.
On the basis of evidence, the things told by the victim were found to be misleading. When Sameer was taken into custody and questioned, he told that his entire family makes jaggery in Reusa. Out of this one lakh rupees, Sameer had to give fifty thousand rupees to Rahul. At the same time, some workers had to be paid dues.
Accused Sameer had borrowed one lakh rupees from his friend Asif to fulfill his needs. He paid back the entire amount and fabricated a fake story of robbery to his parents and others. Sameer thought that this way he would be saved from giving an account of the money to Rahul and his family. But his lie was caught.
