Sitapur. In Machrehta police station area, on Friday late evening, a couple riding a bicycle was hit by a speeding uncontrolled bus near Behat Biram village on Khairabad-Kalli road. Both died on the spot due to the collision. Khairabad resident Chhote Lal (45) and his wife Kalavati (42) were returning home on bicycle late Friday evening. Near Behat Biram village, they were hit by a speeding bus coming from behind. The collision between the bus and the bicycle was so severe that both died on the spot. Police station in-charge Amit Pandey said that the police have taken the bus into custody. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The couple has three children, including two sons and a daughter.
A bike and an e-rickshaw collided head on near Hajipur village near Kalli intersection in Kotwali Misrikh area. In the accident, bike rider Sandeep (25), resident of Bhattapurva in Machrehta police station area and e-rickshaw rider Atul (30), resident of Kesra village were seriously injured. The villagers immediately took the injured to Machrehta Community Health Center. There, after providing first-aid, the doctors referred the injured to the district hospital, seeing their serious condition.
Sadarpur. A student resident of the police station area was hit by a speeding bike on Friday afternoon. The student was seriously injured in the collision. Police took her to CHC. There the doctors declared the student dead. Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
Kajal (21), a resident of Majra Kanjkheda of Fattepurva village, was a BA student at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Government Post Graduate College in Mahmudabad. She was going to college on her scooty on Friday morning. On the way, a bike rider collided with her scooty near Basavanpur village on the Godaicha-Mahmudabad road. After this, the student’s scooty went out of control and collided with a tractor-trolley. The student fell on the road and was seriously injured on the spot. Police and local people took her to CHC Mahmudabad, where doctors declared the student dead. Inspector Anil Singh said that the body has been sent for postmortem. The bike is being searched.
Sakran (Sitapur). In the police station area, uncle-nephew riding a bike returning from a wedding function collided with a speeding pickup. Both were seriously injured in this accident. Police admitted the injured to CHC. There the doctors declared the young man dead.
Aniruddh Kumar (32), a resident of Sumrawan village, along with his uncle Ghanshyam (45) had gone to attend a wedding in Qazipur village of Biswan on Thursday by bike. Both were returning from the wedding at around 11 pm on Thursday night. Then a pickup and bike collided near Qazipur village on the Sakran-Sanda road. On receiving the information, the police admitted both the injured to CHC Sanda. There the doctors declared Aniruddh dead. Ghanshyam has been referred to the district hospital in critical condition. The police sent the body for post-mortem. The police have registered a case on the complaint of Aniruddh’s father Mewalal.
Villagers said, if he had worn a helmet, his life could have been saved.
The villagers who gathered at the spot after the accident said that if Anirudh had worn a helmet, his life could have been saved. Anirudh died due to head injury. The driver fled from the spot with the pickup after the accident. The police is searching for the vehicle.
