Gola Gokarnath. Late on Monday night, there was a stir due to the kidnapping of a farmer who was going in a tractor-trolley after selling sugarcane from the sugar mill. The police became active on the complaint of the family. The police has found the farmer in Barabanki.
Bhikhari Lal, a resident of Ghughulpur village in Hyderabad police station area, has told the police in a written complaint that his son-in-law Vipin Kumar, a resident of Dwarikanagar, Gola Gokarnath, was returning home in a tractor-trolley after selling sugarcane from Bajaj Sugar Mill at around 2 am on December 8. Some people kidnapped him near Nanak Chowki. At around 2:30 am, the accused called Vipin’s family from his mobile and demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 lakh.
On the other hand, the police was alarmed on receiving the information of kidnapping in the night itself. Through surveillance, Vipin Kumar’s location was found in Barabanki. From where the police brought him to Gola police station. Inspector in-charge Chandrashekhar Singh said that during interrogation, Vipin told that some people came in a car near Nanak Chowki and stopped the tractor trolley.
The car occupants started demanding money from him saying that they had broken the glass of the car. As soon as he got off the tractor, the people put him in the car and took him away. Based on mobile location, Vipin has been found with the help of Safdarganj Kotwali Police of Barabanki. The car is being traced on the basis of CCTV footage. The accused will be caught soon.
