Tambaur. Ashish, the younger brother of the groom, a resident of Chandibhanpur, was shot at a wedding ceremony in Lakhimpur late Thursday night. The family took him to the nearest health center. There the doctors declared the young man dead.
The wedding procession of Jitendra Verma, son of Krishnakant Verma, a resident of Chandibhanpur, Tambaur, went to Harikaran Marriage Lawn in Lakhimpur city on Thursday night. The girl’s side’s Hira Singh is also a resident of Biswan Khurd village of Sitapur.
Late night, some relatives of bride Sadhna and groom Jitendra Verma’s younger brother Ashish (24) started arguing over playing DJ. Somehow people pacified the matter. It is said that after this, groom’s brother Ashish went to the car parked outside the marriage hall to get the material for the ‘phaldaan’, when he was shot. Ashish fell on the spot, soaked in blood after being shot.
He was rushed to the nearest health center, where doctors declared him dead. The police have sent the body for postmortem. Till the time of writing the news, the body had not reached Tambaur.
