Sitapur (Kamalapur). Diversion was done on five routes on Wednesday to celebrate Sant Ravidas Jayanti in the town of Sidhauli. Due to this, there was a jam in Kamalapur, Misrikh etc. areas. Long queues were seen as vehicles were stuck in the jam for a long time.
The event was to be held at Sant Ravidas Mandir situated at Mahmudabad crossing of Sidhauli town. The procession was to start from Mahmudabad crossing of the town and return to Mahmudabad crossing via Biswan crossing and Dak Bungalow crossing. Therefore, there was diversion from five main places. Small and big vehicles going from Lucknow to Sitapur were diverted from Mahmudabad crossing of Sidhauli town via Aladadpur crossing towards Kalli crossing. Big and small vehicles coming from Sitapur were stopped at Kamalapur town and sent towards Ataria via canal track from Masterbagh-Khamaria crossing. Vehicles coming from Biswan were sent to Lucknow via Khamaria crossing via canal track from Kunwargaddi via Ataria. Small and big vehicles coming from Mahmudabad road were sent from Lalpur crossing to Ataria. Vehicles coming from Misrikh road were sent towards Lucknow via Bari crossing via Manwa. The traffic jam situation continued throughout the day in Kamalapur town.
