Laharpur (Sitapur). Nomination papers will be filed on February 8 for the by-election of five vacant posts of members in the village panchayats of block area Laharpur. On Thursday, one nomination paper was sold for each vacant post.
Vishnu Kumar bought nomination papers for an unreserved seat of member from ward number four of Jeetamau village. Suraj bought nomination papers for the vacant seat of Scheduled Caste from Aniya Kala ward number 11. Garima Devi bought nomination papers for the vacant seat of woman from ward number eight of Manpur.
Mujassim bought nomination papers for the vacant post of OBC from ward number five of village Patwara and Santosh bought nomination papers for the vacant post of OBC from ward number one of village Akachanpur Faridpur. Assistant Election Officer Omendra Verma said that five nomination papers were sold on Thursday for five vacant posts of member Gram Panchayat.
