Sitapur/Kunwargaddi. A pickup and a bike collided on Thursday in Kotwali area Mahmoodabad. Three people injured in the accident were taken to CHC where a young man was declared dead. A pickup crushed a young man on Wednesday night on Manwa Atrauli road in Ataria police station area. On the other hand, a bike rider collided with an unknown vehicle near Parvatpur village in Mahmoodabad on Thursday evening. He died during treatment at CHC.
Anand Kumar (23) and Anurag (22), residents of Badar in the Kursi police station area of Barabanki district, were going on a bike with their friend Amar Singh (23), a resident of Triveni Nagar in Lucknow. The pickup and the bike collided near Baba Kuti in the Baddupur police station area. All three were seriously injured.
The police admitted everyone to the Community Health Center Mahmoodabad. After some time, the doctors declared Anand Kumar dead. Amar Singh was referred to the trauma center in Lucknow and Anurag to Barabanki.
Hrithik Singh (18), a resident of Canteen village in Ataria police station area, was employed in a private company in Lucknow for many years. He had come home on leave. On Wednesday night, he was walking towards home with his friends Bhanu Pratap, Akhilesh and Sandeep.
A speeding pickup crushed him near Manwa village. He died on the spot. SHO Rohit Dubey said that the body was sent for post-mortem. CCTV footage is being scanned to identify the pickup. On
Thursday evening, near Parvatpur village in Mahmudabad, bike rider Ajay Kumar (35), resident of Ranni village, collided with an unknown vehicle. He got injured in the accident. Inspector Anil Singh said that the accident took place near the village on Rampur Mathura road. Ajay was admitted to CHC Mahmudabad where he died during treatment.
The other person riding the bike, from Barchhata Chhannu village of Laharpur, fled from the spot. The body has been sent for postmortem. The father said that Ajay’s wife Sangeeta is five months pregnant.
