Gola Gokarnanath. Due to the construction of the Shiva temple corridor, the Gokarna shrine is waterless. Looking at the slow pace of work, it is difficult to complete the shrine construction by Mahashivratri. In such a situation, questions are being raised about the Deepayagya and Rudrabhishek of the Parthiv Shivling to be held on the banks of the shrine. Along with the ancient Shiva temple of the city, Gokarna shrine is also associated with the unwavering faith of the devotees. Here, the shrine is also to be constructed in the corridor construction. The shrine is waterless for more than a month. Devotees could not bathe even on Somvati Amavasya, Makar Sankranti.
Mahashivratri is celebrated as a grand festival in Chhoti Kashi. In the ancient Shiva temple, Lord Shiva is worshipped during all the four hours of the night, while on the banks of the pilgrimage, Deep Yagna and collective Rudrabhishek of Parthiv Shivling is performed. Looking at the slow pace of work, it seems impossible to complete the work by 26 February Mahashivratri.
The local administration is well aware of the events held on Mahashivratri. Talks have already been held with the Municipal Council President regarding the Gokarna Tirtha. We will request the District Magistrate to complete the construction of the Tirtha soon. So that the events that have been taking place for decades can be held with the same grandeur as before.
